DKL Wins Big at the Independent Toy Awards 2014

Woooohoooo! Two of our toys have won medals at this year’s Independent Toy Awards. The Wonderworld Trix Tracks Magic Switcher and the Miniland Educational Activity Buttons have won Gold and Bronze respectively. This is absolutely fantastic news – the DKL team are all feeling like proud parents today!

The Independent Toy Awards are one of the most esteemed toy awards and we’re thrilled that they’ve recognised the quality of two of our brands.

Wonderworld are a brand committed to creating environmentally friendly wooden toys; their products are made from high-quality rubberwood and all packaging is made from over 70% recycled material. Wonderworld are so committed to being eco-conscious that for every tree used in production, two more are planted! Given that the brand prides itself on being eco-friendly, it is a huge honour that the Trix Tracks Magic Switcher has won gold in the Eco category this year. Trix Tracks is an incredible collection of exciting wooden ball tracks. These toys are like no others – the variety of features and the colourful design appeals to all children and keeps them engaged for hours and hours. With the Magic Switcher, children can watch as the ball rockets down bouncing stairs and magically changes colour on the way down! Parents also love the Magic Switcher because it’s made to last; the track will stand the test of time as it’s stable, versatile AND easy to build.

The Miniland Activity Buttons are part of Miniland’s popular Educational Corner. As you’ve probably guessed already, these toys are designed with education in mind, and this is why they’ve won a medal in the Educational category of the awards. Each toy has a variety of educational benefits for children, and they’re all fun! The sets include educational worksheets and guides written for parents to help their child learn whilst having fun. Activity Buttons are one of the stand-out toys in the Educational corner; using colourful laces and buttons, children can develop hand-eye coordination, dexterity and counting skills at their own pace. Miniland believe that all children can learn through play: blind and visually impaired children also have the opportunity to learn through play with Activity Buttons as Miniland has ensured that the buttons include Braille characters.
